Other issues

Does the process of getting a tattoo hurt?

Pain varies from person to person and depends on the location of the tattoo. Our artists do their best to minimize discomfort.

Tattoo healing care

There are precautions we should take, not only to allow for proper healing of the tattoo but also for our own safety. Personally, I advise against applying healing cream in the first few hours after getting the tattoo. Start the next day or 4 hours after getting it done. Apply 2 to 3 times a day (approximately 2 weeks).

Avoid:

  • Seawater and swimming pools (approx. 2 weeks)

  • Direct sun exposure - Tight clothing - Scratching the skin or removing peeling skin

  • Apply generous layers of cream to the tattooed area. (Use both large and small amounts of cream, spreading it evenly.)

How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

Initial healing time is generally 2 to 3 weeks, but complete healing can take up to 2 months. We provide detailed guidelines for aftercare..

Can I get a tattoo if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend waiting until after pregnancy and breastfeeding to get a tattoo, due to potential complications.
